NOMINATIONS
Pursuant to Washington State Law, the Wenatchee Reclamation District annual election will be held on December 8th, 2026. There is one Board of Director position open this year. The term for each seat is three years, beginning on Tuesday, January 5, 2027.
Director position: Currently held by Vince Stimac.
All interested candidates must submit a Declaration of Candidacy / Petition of Nomination no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5th, 2026.

Polls will be open on Tuesday, December 8th, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at:
ABSENTEE VOTING
Any qualified district elector who certifies that he or she cannot be present to vote in person on Tuesday, December 8th, 2026, may vote by absentee ballot per RCW 87.03.032.
To receive an absentee ballot, a completed and signed request must be submitted.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS
Any qualified district elector may vote by absentee ballot pursuant to RCW 87.03.031 and RCW 87.03.032.
Absentee ballot requests will be accepted beginning Friday, November 20, 2026, after ballots have been printed, through Monday, December 7, 2026.
To receive an absentee ballot, a completed and signed request form stating that the requester is a qualified district elector must be submitted to the District Secretary in person, by mail, or by email at office@wrdh2o.com.
Requested absentee ballots will be sent by U.S. Postal Service to eligible electors from whom completed and signed request forms are received.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS WILL NOT BE ISSUED ON ELECTION DAY, DECEMBER 8, 2026.

STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ABSENTEE BALLOTS TO BE COUNTED
Pursuant to RCW 87.03.033, an absentee ballot must satisfy the following requirements in order to be counted in the election.
The ballot must be sealed in a security envelope and placed inside an additional outer envelope. The completed ballot must be delivered to the Wenatchee Reclamation District’s principal office prior to the close of the polls on Election Day.
Alternatively, the ballot may be mailed to the District Secretary. A mailed ballot must be postmarked no later than midnight on Election Day and must be received by the District Secretary within seven days following Election Day.
The ballot must be accompanied by a Certificate of Qualifications stating the voter’s name, age, citizenship, residence, and that the voter holds title or evidence of title to land within the District that entitles the voter to vote in the election. The voter must sign the Certificate of Qualifications, certifying under penalty of perjury that the voter meets the qualifications to vote.
CORPORATION, LLC, OR OTHER LEGAL ENTITY OWNERSHIP
A person voting on behalf of a corporation, limited liability company (LLC), partnership, trust, or other legal entity that holds title to property within the District must complete an “Authority to Cast Vote for Corporation or Other Entity” form.
The completed form must be provided to the District as required before the ballot is cast.
VOTING ON BEHALF OF A SPOUSE
When property is owned jointly by spouses and one spouse will vote on behalf of the other spouse, the voting spouse must complete an “Authority to Cast Votes for Spouse” form.
The completed form must be provided to the District as required before the ballot is cast.
